Grace Julia is a female filmmaker on the rise

Grace’s fresh directorial style hasn’t gone unnoticed, with a growing number of narrative & commercial director credits.

“As a freelance commercial director, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some of Australia’s best production companies and creative agencies on a number of memorable projects. Some highlights include directing ShopBack’s Feels Good campaign with (Jack Nimble, 2024) and the Stillbirth Foundation’s The Stillbirth Promise (Visible Studios, 2021). I’ve also directed several commercial campaigns for Best & Less with DMC Digital — Coca-Cola, Mother’s Day, and Outdoor Kids. I’ve also been engaged by Dig Agency to direct campaigns for 3M Scotch Brite’s Mop and Brush international product launches. The team at Dig also hired me to direct and produce a series of social media ads for The Bottle O and Cellarbrations in 2021. Other notable freelance directing roles include Infrastructure NSW’s Hickson Park (Blackfisch, 2022) and the Black Dog Institute’s Luminaries project (Republic of Everyone, 2022). I’ve also field produced several videos for Screencraft, like the Department of Environment’s Tread Lightly campaign.”

While Grace is based in Queensland, she works as a local freelance director in both Brisbane and Sydney.
